Metapod is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Caterpie at level 7 and into Butterfree at level 10.

Like the other cocoon Pokémon, Metapod seldom appears in the TP world due to not being able to do much as a cocoon. It usually only appears after a Caterpie evolves, and even then it evolves again into Butterfree not long after that.
